Key achievements

  • We work with over 200 partners ranging from employers, government agencies, community centres, schools and the voluntary sector and deliver in over 300 venues across Lancashire
  • We offer approximately 200 courses with the Department for Work and Pensions to engage and progress individuals towards the employment market
  • In 2018-19, we had 1,589 learners directed by the DWP on to employability courses with a significant proportion either continuing their studies, moving into accredited learning or progressing into employment
  • LAL engages with over 14,000 individual learners annually across Lancashire
  • 95.5% achievement rate for Functional Skills English
  • 97.3% achievement for Functional Skills Maths
  • 98.5% achievement for ICT
  • 98.3% achievement for ESOL (accredited qualifications)
  • 98.4% overall qualification achievement rate in 2018-19 with a 100% achievement rate on adult and community learning courses
