Lancashire Adult Learning
Key achievements
- We work with over 200 partners ranging from employers, government agencies, community centres, schools and the voluntary sector and deliver in over 300 venues across Lancashire
- We offer approximately 200 courses with the Department for Work and Pensions to engage and progress individuals towards the employment market
- In 2018-19, we had 1,589 learners directed by the DWP on to employability courses with a significant proportion either continuing their studies, moving into accredited learning or progressing into employment
- LAL engages with over 14,000 individual learners annually across Lancashire
- 95.5% achievement rate for Functional Skills English
- 97.3% achievement for Functional Skills Maths
- 98.5% achievement for ICT
- 98.3% achievement for ESOL (accredited qualifications)
- 98.4% overall qualification achievement rate in 2018-19 with a 100% achievement rate on adult and community learning courses
- 2,711 adults enrolled on to basic skills courses including English, Maths, ESOL and ICT
- 100% of learners would recommend the organisation to friends and family, of those responding to the FE Choices Learner Survey
- 90% of children whose parents attended Family English and Family Maths improve their attainment at school
- 87% of learners on Health and Wellbeing courses reduced their dependency on healthcare services
