Emma Schofield

Emma became Vice Chair of the Corporation in February 2022, she has over 20 years’ experience working in Human Resources and Organisational Development (HR and OD) across multiple senior leadership positions in both the public and private sector. Most recently Emma was Deputy Director of HR and Organisation Development at the East Lancashire Hospitals NHS Trust – a key local employer and strategic partner employing over 8,000 staff and treating over 700,000 patients a year across 5 acute hospitals and multiple community locations. Emma is now Managing Director of her HR and OD consultancy, offering bespoke solutions to help drive business growth, by maximising focus on people, leadership, wellbeing, and real engagement.

Emma has a passion for authentic leadership, its role in helping individuals and teams thrive and in helping others to grow and develop. She is committed to using her experience to help our local community and its young people. Her Postgraduate and Master’s degree are in Strategic Human Resources Management and Development.
